Winter League Show Jumping

WOULD YOU LIKE TO REPRESENT YOUR BRANCH ON A TEAM JUMPING IN THE SHOW JUMPING AREA 5 WINTER LEAGUE THIS WINTER?

Please note that 3 working rallies MUST have been completed in order to represent our branch, (as per the Winter League and PC rules).

Please note that members willing to jump regularly, including travelling to the North Wales competitions, will take priority over those wishing only to compete at the local venues. However there will be team or individual places for ALL. In-order to get our entries in on time the branch team closing date will be at least 10 days prior to the competition, (again details will follow).

Class 1 10 and under - 70cm (2'3")
Class 2 13 and under - 75cm (2'6")
Class 3 Intermediate - Any age 85cm (2'9")
Class 4 Open - Any age 100cm (3'3")

THE EVENT WILL BE SIGN POSTED from both sides of the Gwalchmai, leave A55 at junction 6 and travel on A5 toward Gwalchmai. When you enter the village of Gwalchmai turn right by the clock and travel up the road to Rhandir Farm which will be sign posted as you approach the farm.

Dengie Winter League Show Jumping Series

Dengie Winter League Rules Summary

Preliminary Rounds are held throughout the country from 1st July to
28th February and the number of riders qualifying to go forward to one of 19 Area Competitions will be decided on a ratio basis with a minimum of four riders (and one for each additional ten riders or part thereof above 40)
PROVIDED THAT they have jumped a CLEAR ROUND in the FIRST ROUND (PHASE).

NOTE:
Preliminary Rounds will run in accordance with 2017 Pony Club Show Jumping Rules and the Dengie Rules 2017/2018.
All Area Competitions and the Championships will run in accordance with the 2017 Pony Club Show Jumping Rules and the Dengie Rules 2017/18.

ELIGIBILITY - Open to individual Pony Club Members, but excluding any combination of horse/pony and rider that have represented their Branch at OPEN (Summer) Area qualifiers for The Pony Club Show Jumping Championships or any Rider who has competed at The Pony Club Open (Summer) Show Jumping Championships or The Pony Club Show Jumping Final at Hickstead. (This does not include any other classes held in conjunction with Area Qualifiers).

Please note non-Members of The Pony Club are allowed to compete in any Preliminary Round but must become fully paid up Members to compete at their Area Competition.
CENTRE MEMBERS are invited to compete in this Competition.

JA Ponies and Grade A and B Horses registered with the BSJA in the current year or previous year of the competition are not eligible. Should a Pony or Horse upgrade during any part of the 2016/2017 series they will not be able to compete further in the Series. No rider may ride more than three horses or ponies in the same competition.

SUBSTITUTIONS - Substitutions of horse/pony or rider will not be accepted at Area Competitions or at the Championships.

SADDLERY AND DRESS - At Preliminary Round Competitions EITHER The Pony Club or B.S.J.A. Rules apply in respect of Saddlery and Dress. The Pony Club Saddlery and Dress rules apply at Area Competitions and the Championships.

PASSING DOWN THE LINE - In the event of a competitor being placed in a qualifying position at a Preliminary Round when they have already qualified for the Area Competition, the place may pass down the line PROVIDED THAT the next placed combination has jumped a CLEAR ROUND in the FIRST ROUND.

A Member may compete at Preliminary Rounds in any Area, but they MUST go to their own Area Competition.
